Golfing on the Sunshine Coast is a popular recreational activity year around. Take advantage of the amazing scenery while playing under shadows of looming mountains and forest. Work on your chip shot on a par 3 or challenge your long ball shot on an 18-hole course. Rolling hills and sloping greens are sure to be a challenge enjoyed by all ages.

Water Sports

Surrounded by water, the Sunshine Coast is a great place for visitors of all ages to paddle a kayak or canoe, embark on a sailing tour. The ocean is at our doorstep, but you can also explore the region’s several popular lakes for swimming, diving and boating. Because Vancouver Island is perfectly placed to protect our Georgia Strait coastline from vigorous pacific weather patterns, conditions are usually mild. It is easy access to launch a kayak, canoe or paddle board anywhere from Gibsons to Pender Harbour and paddle in beautiful relatively safe, calm waters most days of the year.

The Sunshine Coast is home to a huge network of biking and hiking paths, designed to accommodate all ages. To many, life on the coast is all about the beaches. Our Sunshine Coast is rated by National Geographic as the fourth best scuba diving location in the world. With over 86 kilometres of windswept seashore ranging from one end of the coast to the other, comes opportunity for salt water swimming or basking at the tranquil lake regions. Watch for seals, eagles, Canadian geese and feast our eyes on a breathtaking sunset at the end of a great beach day on the coast.

Sunshine Coast Tours

Get out on the water and see the incredible sights of the Sunshine Coast.  The Sunshine Coast Tours offers marine sightseeing in the protected Inlets of British Columbia in two distinctive tours: Princess Louisa Inlet Tours and Porpoise Bay Tours. 

Princess Louisa Tours

Departing from Egmont on the Sunshine Coast, they travel through the wilderness areas of Jervis Inlet, pass through Malibu Rapids into Princess Louisa Inlet and spend time ashore in the Provincial Park, right beside the world famous Chatterbox Falls.  Marvel at the large landscapes, native pictographs, graciers, waterfalls and early settlement areas.

Depart at 10;30am at Backeddy Marina, Egmont and return by 3:30pm.

Explore the true, super natural British Columbia Coast in a short 60 to 90 minute tour of the sheltered end of Sechelt Inlet.  Porpoise Bay is rich with history from the Shishalh Nation and serves as the access point for the hude wilderness area around our Inland Sea.

The Cultural Outing Tour features a host from the Shishalh Nation. Your cultural ambassador has been trained by the Cultural Director of the Shishalh. Home to the Tuwanek, the area known as Slahlt is of significant for the shelter and bounty it provided.
