Soames Hill

Soames Hill is a steep hike that is located in Gibsons near Shirley Macey Park and has incredible views that look across towards Keats Island and out towards the Strait of Georgia. The hike follows a steep set of stairs, offering a good workout that is rewarded with several beautiful views.



Gibsons Tapworks

This microbrewery aims to build a reflection of the coastal community, in the beer they serve and the company they keep. They inspire a social connection by sharing their passion for unihigh-qualityality craft beer.

Blackberry Festival

Join us Friday, August 17th for the 25th annual Blackberry Festival in Powell River. Marine Avenue comes alive with pedestrians in a celebration the whole family can enjoy – time to party your berries off!
The blackberry is one of BC’s favourite fruits and is set to be celebrated big-time at the Powell River Blackberry Festival, a spectacular jubilee of local colours and flavours guaranteed to put a smile on that dial.  Powell River has it all when it comes to blackberry flavours, wine, cheese, pizza and the most mouth-watering desserts this side of the Sunshine Coast.


Rogue Arts Festival

Taking place from August 24 – 26 in 2018 at the Clarke Farm, with the beautiful backdrop of the coastal mountains, forest ranges, and idyllic hay fields, the Rogue Fest is a 3 day, outdoor, arts festival.
