Planning to visit the Sunshine Coast on your next trip to British Columbia? Stop by Gibsons to discover all that the city has to offer. From nature and beautiful scenery to delicious food options and some of the best breweries in BC, there is sure to be something for everyone to enjoy.
If you are a big craft beer fan then you will love all the brewery options available in Gibsons. Two of our favourites are Tapworks Brewing Company and Persephone Brewing Company.
Tapworks offers a great atmosphere and fantastic beers; some of our favourites include the One Sailing Wait IPA, Lower G Brown Ale and Beach It ISA. The brewery offers full draught service, as well as growler fills if you want to take some beer home with you. Tapworks is family-friendly, offering guided tours of their facility and have been known to occasionally host musical entertainment.
Another one of our favourites is the Persephone Brewing Company, a craft microbrewery and beer farm with a tasting room. This unique brewery sits on an 11-acre farm where hops (the primary ingredient in beer) is grown and harvested on-site. Persephone Brewing Company is operated by a dedicated team that has produced award-winning craft beer.
Food
If you are looking for somewhere to eat while visiting Persephone Brewery make sure that you try out Farm to Feast, which is conveniently located at the Persephone farm. We love that they use locally sourced ingredients to create amazing and nourishing meals. Try their pizza, tacos, hearty sandwiches and much more!
If you are looking for great seafood make sure that you try Smitty’s Oyster House which is located in Smitty’s Marina right at Gibsons Landing. You'll find them situated on the docks they offer a great variety of seafood options. We, of course, love their oysters but we also highly recommend their salmon cakes or their wolf candy for those who don’t love seafood.
